 CUTEST PET CONTEST

The search is on to find the Ohio Valley's cutest pet.  A three-judge panel will decide the winners of the CUTEST PET CONTEST at the Ohio Valley Mall on Wednesday, June 24th.  If you think your furry friend is a contender, sign up for the contest anytime at the mall information booth, or you can pre-register on the day of the event at 5:30 pm.  The contest begins at 6 pm, and there is a $10 registration fee.  Trophies will be awarded to the top ten contestants.  Plus, animals from Hounds' Haven animal shelter will be on hand for heavy petting!

Proceeds benefit the animals that call Hounds' Haven their home.  This is a privately operated, non-profit, "quality of life" shelter in Jefferson County, which reaches out to animals to provide love and care; and also to the Ohio Valley community, with spay-neuter programs for their pets, as well as youth education and enrichment services.

Founded in 1997, Hounds' Haven is dedicated to finding homes for truly homeless dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens.  Located in Jefferson County, Ohio, Hounds' Haven, one of the few "quality of life" shelters in the Ohio Valley, provides a clean, safe environment for stray, neglected, and abused animals.

Each animal at the shelter is spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations to be sure that he or she lives a healthy life.  Because we are a private, non-profit organization, the shelter is funded solely on the generosity of volunteers, donations, and grants.
