"Bruno's Pizza-Rocky Road Gym 5K Run-Walk for Hounds' Haven"
Put on your athletic shoes and step out for dogs and cats in need! Join your friends on May 15th for the first ever "5K Run-Walk for Hounds' Haven," sponsored by Bruno's Pizza and Rocky Road Gym. The course runs through Main Street in Wintersville and Sunset Boulevard in Steubenville, beginning at Rocky Road Gym and ending at Bruno's Pizza. Pre-register before the event by picking up an entry form at Bruno's or Rocky Road, or sign up from 7-8 am on May 15th at the gym. Pre-event entrants are guaranteed a tee shirt, and all participants can enjoy a complimentary breakfast after the race at Bruno's. Entry fees are twelve dollars before May 15th, and fifteen dollars the day of the run/walk. Business sponsors also are welcome. Pets up for adoption at Hounds' Haven will be on hand at the start of the race, and some will even take the course with the walkers.
All proceeds benefit Hounds' Haven, a privately operated, non-profit, "quality of life" shelter for homeless and abused animals from around the Ohio Valley. Donations will help with shelter operations, public education and spay-neuter services for pets of families in need.
Please help us to provide aid to the only shelter in Jefferson County that provides loving care and homes for animals -- for a lifetime.

During this special season, would you consider becoming a "Special Santa" to the more than 200 dogs and cats who call the shelter home? The critters have created a wish list and hope they'll find any of these items under their tree on Christmas morning:

Your donations help with our lifetime committment to all pets, who have a home at our shelter forever. And if we find them a "forever" family and a new home through our adoption program, we'll make sure they're always happy, healthy and cared for.
